Services and fees

Three ways I work, and what each one costs.

Everything here is weekly, 50 minutes, and ongoing rather than a fixed programme. Fees are listed in full so you can decide before you call.

A chair in the Oakland therapy office

Individual therapy, in person

$210
50 minutes

Weekly sessions at the Grand Avenue office in Oakland. This is the format I recommend for anxiety, perfectionism, and anything where the body is doing a lot of the talking. Being in the same room makes that work easier.

Tuesday to Thursday, 9am – 6pm
Free parking behind the building; ground-floor, step-free entrance

Telehealth across California

$170
50 minutes

Video sessions on a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. You need to be physically located in California at the time of the session, and somewhere you won't be overheard. A parked car counts more often than you'd think.

Monday and Friday, 8am – 4pm
Early-morning slots held for shift workers
A quiet home space prepared for a video call
A quiet staff room at the end of a shift

Burnout work for clinicians and teachers

$210
50 minutes

Same format as individual therapy, with a caseload of people who do the same kind of work you do. You won't have to explain what a bad shift is, or apologise for the things you feel about the people you care for.

In person or video
Consultation for supervisors available separately

Insurance and payment

I'm out-of-network with all insurers. Many plans reimburse 50–80% of an out-of-network session once your deductible is met; I provide a monthly superbill you can submit, and I'll tell you exactly what to ask your plan on the consult call.

You'll receive a Good Faith Estimate in writing before we begin, as required under the No Surprises Act. Payment by card or bank transfer at the time of session. Cancellations with more than 48 hours' notice aren't charged.

Reduced fee

I hold three sliding-scale slots at $110 per session, prioritised for graduate trainees and people working in public education or public health. They're often full; ask anyway, and I'll tell you where the waitlist stands.

Not sure which of these fits? That's what the call is for.
